Sister GiovannaJEAN SALTERPeacefully on Friday 13th December
at Greenslades Nursing Home Exeter, aged 93 years.

Sister Giovanna FSJM dedicated her life to Posbury St Frances for over 50 years and her death signifies the end of the community. They lived according to their beliefs, producing most of their needs from the land they worked. She was at her happiest working outside, tending the land, looking after her bees and other domestic animals. She was extremely knowledgeable about her surroundings and could recall so many details about plants and produce. Her humility, humour and fondness of life and nature will be missed by so many.

A Requiem Mass will be held on Tuesday 7th January 2025 at St. Luke’s Church Posbury 12:00 noon,
followed by a Funeral Service and interment at 1:30pm.

Donations if desired for St. Luke’s Posbury,
may be given by retiring collection, sent to

I am truly blessed to have met a person like Sister G, her warm heart, her beautiful smile and charisma, she was always full of love for everyone and blessings, at first instance I noticed just how much of a selfless person she was served her life to the community, one in a million.
Thank you for all the care and blessings you gave to me and my family Sister G, especially at a time when I was about to become a mum and needed all the support, you were just too kind
